Global Relief

We all know there are many charities who bring in millions of dollars for worldwide relief efforts. We commend those charities. We also know that big organizations move slowly and they are bound by many rules and policies. Being small, the Wells Charitable Foundation can be fast and flexible in our involvement in international relief efforts.

Since early 2022, when The Ukraine was invaded by Russian troops, the Wells Charitable Foundation jumped in to help the Ukranian people affected by the war. We researched the charity landscape for Ukraine related organizations. We vetted the organizations. We met with people who have family in the Ukraine, and people who are personally providing aid to the Ukranian people.  We shifted resources that were used for Covid programs in 2021 over to assisting the Ukraine relief organizations in 2022.

We wish the Ukraine situation will be the end of our world’s international crises. Yet we know this is not likely. As our world experiences crises of varying nature in the future the Wells Charitable Foundation will step in, reprograming our resources as necessary to assist.
