Local Programs and Homelessness
The Wells Charitable Foundation supports numerous charities who provide assistance at the local level. Below are some examples of organizations we support who assist their local communities in their own unique way:
- An organization provides the necessary resources for struggling families as they transition through and overcome the hardships of daily living in the Central Florida region and beyond.
- An organization that helps families and individuals experiencing poverty receive compassionate care by providing emergency financial assistance, groceries, clothes, showers, and other essential resources. They also provide extended support through programs that lead individuals and families toward a better future and long-term stability.
- A medical based organization used unpaid medical staff to offer health care to the low-income, uninsured in Orange County, FL.
- An organization in Central Florida helps replenish essential supplies for teachers.
- A learning Academy provides K-8 education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM areas).
- An organization who helps rebuild the lives of families and individuals who have suffered disaster or personal tragedy by providing household furnishings and clothing while being environmentally responsible to our community.
- Homeless shelters in the Washington DC area as well as Central Florida.
